Wildlife Art - Padmini Sinh
Padmini enjoyed art since she was a small child. At the age of 5, she was drawing recognizable animal cartoon characters. For the most part, she is a self-taught artist but now more of a wildlife artist specialising in Indian and African Wildlife.
"Although drawing & painting for pleasure has always been part of my life, on leaving school I put aside 'childish' dreams of ever having the opportunity to do this for a living. Then a few years ago family & friends began to commission me to paint portraits of their pets. From then on I haven't looked back and my life has never been so busy - I'm now married and have a two year old daughter and my career as a recognized wildlife artist going from strength to strength." - Padmini

"I feel the Indian subcontinent is blessed with an incredibly rich natural heritage and bio-diversity which I always wanted to capture. The power, beauty and grace of mother nature has always mesmerised my life. Watching wild animals in their natural habitat is my passion, and I wish to put on canvas at least a fraction of that awesome beauty in my artwork. I find observation is very important for accurate drawing. I would say this talent came through my father - A man with unacknowledged artistic talent and a great love and respect for the natural world." Padmini.
